Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I book services with Makeup by Adrienn & Team?

For all wedding services, we require a signed service contract agreement and retainer. We book services on a first come first serve basis.  Please note that your date is not secured until we have received your service agreement and retainer, even if you have had a trial preview appointment scheduled.

Do you have a booking minimum requirement?

Due to high demand, on Saturdays, we require a minimum of 4 hair and makeup services for all wedding appointments during peak season.

    Minimum of 6 services on Saturdays - 3 person’s Makeup & Hair- during off-peak season January-February.

    Minimum of 8 services - 4 person’s Makeup & Hair - during peak season March-July and September-December on Saturdays.

No minimum is required for weekday weddings during peak and off-peak seasons.

What if I don’t know the exact number of services for the wedding day?

We book our Artists and time based on the information provided in your service agreement. It’s recommended to secure as many “for sure” services as possible. We often book multiple events in one day, and potentially may not have the time or Artists available to add additional services on the day of your event.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Zelle, Venmo, and Credit card.

I have a large bridal party. How many people can you accommodate?

We have a diverse team of talented, full-time Artists. Our team can accommodate large bridal parties of any size. We carefully select all Artists to ensure that they produce the same exceptional quality work.

How many Artists do you assign to my wedding? How much time do you need to complete services?

The number of Artists assigned to your event is dependent on the number of services secured in your service agreement and the available time in which all services need to be completed.

For 8 or more services, we require a minimum of 4 hours of service time (with 1 additional Artist), for 15 services a minimum of 5 hours (with 2 additional Artists), etc. You can request additional Artists for an additional fee (The fee for additional Artists is detailed in our pricing guide, Artists’ availability depends on the date.) Makeup by Adrienn & Team will determine the start time for the contracted services.

  • Do you offer Airbrush makeup? What is the difference between Traditional and Airbrush makeup?

We offer both Traditional and Airbrush makeup services. We would offer traditional vs. Airbrush makeup depending on your skin type and coverage preference. Airbrush makeup is tiny "pixels" of pigment that use a compressor & Air pen to gently mist foundation to your face. As the makeup sits on top of the skin, it's best suited for individuals without any texture issues. It's not recommended for people with dry skin or with lines, wrinkles, or severe acne scarring. Airbrush makeup is also more prone to cracking and is harder to touch up throughout the day.

Often people assume that someone looks "Airbrushed" in photos because Airbrush makeup was used, however, this is not true. The Airbrush look you see in pictures is usually the result of editing the image in a photo editor. Both Airbrush makeup and Traditional makeup applications can look equally flawless, are HD-friendly, and can last for hours. The longevity of your makeup is ultimately a reflection of your Artist’s technique, no matter what method they use. Contact us if you are not sure if this is a good option for you.

  • Do you offer preview trials? How do I schedule an appointment?

We offer preview trial session appointments. We are 100% mobile, travel to you, and provide makeup and hair services on-site. Preview trial sessions can be booked by email. For pricing please review our pricing guide. We typically schedule previews 1-3 months before the wedding date. All trial preview sessions are a paid service, billed separately from wedding day services. The preview trial session includes a thorough consultation in which we will discuss your vision for the bridal look and your inspirations. This appointment is scheduled typically with the lead makeup artist or hairstylist assigned to your wedding day. The appointment lasts about 2-2.5 hours for hair and makeup and 1-1.5 hours for hair or makeup. This appointment may also be scheduled on the same day as your engagement session, bridal portrait, bridal shower, dress fitting, etc.

    What products do you use?

We carry a variety of makeup, skincare, and hair products available to industry professionals. If you have any questions regarding products, please contact us.

Can you use my own makeup for the application?

The products we carry in our kits are the most effective products for the job. If you insist we can use your makeup, however, it's not recommended. A lot of chemistry goes into makeup applications, and certain products just don't work well together. Adding your personal makeup into the application can alter its texture and longevity.

Can I schedule my preview trial for my engagement or bridal portrait session on a weekend?

We are typically booked for weddings on most weekends.  There are rare occasions when we can accommodate a Friday or Sunday appointment, however, most appointments are scheduled during the week, Monday – Thursday, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.  It never hurts to ask, as we will do our best to accommodate your appointment request.

Can I have my Mom/Friend/Bridesmaid with me at the trial?

While it may seem like a good idea to have friends/family members at your preview trial, too many opinions can make the process much more stressful and confusing. You should make the decision on how you want to look based on what makes YOU feel beautiful, not what other people think makes you beautiful. This is your day, and your opinion is the one we listen to. We agree to have one guest with you for your preview trial appointment if you would like to.

  • What will Artists need on location?

    - a flat, clean work surface like a dining table

    - an indirect source of natural light

    - easy access to electrical outlets

    - a regular height chair for hairstyling

    - tall chair for makeup applications

Can you accommodate last-minute makeup applications or hairstyling?

Yes, if we have time! However, this can only be done once the contracted services have been completed.

Do you charge extra for false lashes?

Our makeup service includes COMPLIMENTARY strip lashes within the service fee. The price does not change if someone does not want us to apply lashes as part of their makeup service. If someone in your bridal party doesn’t want makeup services but only wants us to apply lashes, that is an option for an additional fee.

    Do you provide hair extensions?

We do not stock or carry hair extensions, but we can do the hair extension installation for you! If you are planning to have extensions for your wedding day, it is best to purchase it in advance and have it for your preview trial preview. You can purchase extensions online from Amazon or from beauty stores. Please make sure it is made from real hair and suitable for heat styling as well as have clips sewn into it.

Does your team stay for touch-up services?

Upon completion of contracted services at the end of your service time, your Artist and/or Hairstylist will provide last-minute hair and/or makeup touch-ups that may be needed.  Once this is done, your Artists and/or Hairstylists will leave and will not stay for additional touch-ups past that point.  Any requests for touch-ups past the contracted service time are available for an additional cost, it is detailed in our pricing guide.

Do you make a schedule for the day of services?

Yes! We provide a custom makeup and hair schedule for all events. Our Artists follow this schedule to keep services on track, this helps to ensure the day runs as smoothly and as “stress-free” as possible. Typically, we can create a custom timeline on the week of the wedding. Due to multiple weddings and special events being in one week, we will not be able to provide a detailed custom schedule any earlier, but the start and end time is confirmed upon booking including in your service agreement.

How long does it take to complete each service?

We typically dedicate 1 hour per service, for the Bride, however, there is no specific timing window for perfecting the Bride’s wedding day look.  (That equates to approximately 1 hour for hair, 1 hour for makeup, or 2 hours for hair and makeup.)  The Bride’s services are typically more detailed, and most times require a broader timing window.  For the bridal party and other attendants, as a general guideline, we dedicate 30-50 minutes per service.  For the bridal party & other attendants, we expect that the choice of hairstyle and/or makeup look is chosen with the 30 – 50 minute timing window in mind.  Our Artists are happy to make hairstyle and/or makeup recommendations if needed.

Can I request a particular artist/hairstylist for my wedding day?

Makeup by Adrienn & Team has a team of highly trained, skilled Makeup Artists and Hairstylists experienced with all skin and hair types. We assign Artists and/or Hairstylists based on availability for the date requested.

My bridal party is paying for their services, are they able to make separate payments?

No. Please have all family and/or bridal party members make their payments to the responsible party, which is typically the person signing the service agreement.  And, that person or responsible party will submit the payment(s) to Makeup by Adrienn & Team.

Do you offer Men’s grooming services?

Yes, we do offer men’s grooming services.  The service includes light concealer, brow shaping, and setting powder.  This is a very light, natural-looking makeup application.

Are you experienced with Indian/ or South Asian makeup applications?

Yes! We are experienced and had many Indian as well as South Asian Brides.
